Re: Who is God to You?
Hmm... Who is god to me? Well, nothing. I'm an atheist, but I am open to the concept of religion so long as I experience something which makes me believe that god exists. I, as an atheist do not know that god does not exist (the same way, if you're a 'believer' you do not know that he exists), and t...

Me again...
Well, I made one of these way-back-when. But, here I am again. Whilst I have been on this server for something like 18 months (from early March '11, IIRC) I could probably hold the titles of the poorest long-standing player, least-frequent playing long-standing player and least-impressive builds lon...

Exam season coming to an end...
So, as the title would suggest: the exam season is beginning to wind down (I believe). I know I've only got two more exams, after the horrendous 4 exam Tuesday this week ( :'( ). Anyway: the point of this thread: what kind of exams did you take this year? How many did you take? Do you think you'll g...

Sooo... Battlefield Premium, ya gettin' it?

For those who don't know, Premium is a service which you can buy for BF3. I can't see any reason to not buy it if you play BF3 regularly, but here's what it gets you: ALL DLC early access by 2 weeks (and you've paid for them in the price of Premi...

Re: Battlefield 3 (Xbox)
Is BF3 as aweful on 360 as it is on PS3? On PS3 it's a miracle for someone to throw you a medkit or ammo, and I've yet to see a teammate repair a vehicle that he wasn't using. Nah, you usually get repairs from passing engineers. Medi-kits often get dropped and I'd say roughly 50% of assault go medi...

Eh, if it makes any difference I forgot to vote (read them but completely forgot to vote on the poll) and I (personally) prefer Skunk's. I like the blend of the modern and past which comes to pretty damned good climax.
I'll also try to enter in the next competition, provided it isn't romantic...

Re: SneakyPie's Grand Writing Extravaganza Spectacular
I'm gonna have to be a little boring and choose War. (Defined as a genre by The Guardian.) Defining war as any story which features armed combat between two nations, city-states or w/ever as a primary focus. The story can be about soldiers in WW2, or street kids hiding from the evil aliens as Earth ...

1,000 words, centered on a trio of the standard 'oppressive police' from Dystopian Fiction. I've taken inspiration from Brazil in this story. (OTT bureaucracy, two names, the crime and the uniform of the Enforcers) *tap-tap-tap* “Wakey, wakey matey.” Tuttle shook himself awake, throwing off the shac...

If you're able to tweak the spawn levels, why not set PvP to hard? Then it becomes more of a challenge for people to fight in it.

I voted Normal, but I agree with Tyrese and Sti and Iron and SirDoom.
No Spawn Commands would make it far to much of a chore to move between worlds and stuff.

We tried that with New Bucks and it looked ugly. It works for large 'cities', but not for a 'quaint village'.

Would a universe (which takes place on earth) with magic as an accepted normality be 'Low fantasy'? It's on Escapist Magazine, as 'The Guardians of London', and I was going to enter one of my posts in the RP as part of the story, from the perspective of a 'laddish' (-ish) 'Magic Police Officer' (Gua...
