Re: Getting in shape

I have a new goal: to learn to do a planche/planche push up. Basically it's just the push up position but with your legs entirely off the floor. It's... tricky. ...Very tricky. I fully expect it to take a while, (assuming I succeed at all,) but I always work better with a goal in mind and this is a...

How about Awesomenauts?

2D sidescolling MOBA with 3 player teams. It's colourful and easy to learn, but there's some depth there if you want to get into it. Most importantly: it has the least toxic community of any MOBA I've seen.

Photoshop CS2 (freely available from Adobe these days). I was using Photoshop Elements 5 (outdated but cheap) for a long time, but I switched because of stability issues. Not that there's much difference. Photoshop is Photoshop, the version doesn't matter that much if you're mainly just using the br...

Apparently they didn't run it by Notch first. Poor planning on their part, but I'm surprised it was enough of an issue to see the whole project cancelled. Mojang are usually pretty cool with people using their IP for derivative works.

Birth of Man - Minecraft movie

Rocketjump just put out a proof of concept video for a 90 minute Minecraft film they're looking to make.

Oh sorry, I didn't see your post.
It depends on the subject matter and the level of detail, these Terraria ones have been around 3-5 hours each.

Re: Art thread

Why so much Terraria? Well apart from just really liking the game, I recently discovered Reddit. Specifically /r/terraria, where these things are basically guaranteed karma. (It's scary how easily I can be manipulated by the promise of meaningless internet points.)

Re: The Binding of Isaac

After 519 hours I finally got 'Platinum God' (The achievement for collecting all the achievements). I've had everything except 'Dark Boy' (Take no damage on the Depths) for months. Since most of my runs involve attempting to break the game these days it's rare that I reach the Depths without damagin...

Re: The Binding of Isaac

Isaac has a lot of items that modify the projectiles you shoot in various ways, many of which stack with eachother. After 500+ hours with the game I've beaten it enough times that rather than playing to win I mostly just aim for rare or interesting item combinations. When I get something unusual I t...

Re: The Binding of Isaac

I don't take Dr Fetus or Epic Fetus these days. They don't have any interesting synergies, if you've beaten the game with them once then you've seen pretty much everything they have to offer. Tear effects on the other hand have all sorts of weird quirks and interactions that can still surprise me ev...

Re: The Binding of Isaac

One shot? That's impressive. I think I had a run recently that might have been able to do that, but the game crashed while I was in the chest so I never actually got to try. Mom's knife plus literally every single damage up except for: Lump of Coal, The Mark and The Pact. I also had a small damage d...

Did all of them a while back. I prefer vanilla runs most of the time though. The unpredictability is what keeps the game interesting.
