Re: RAGE!!: "free to play"
To be honest I like Notch's approach to the idea of "free to play". Rather than call it "Free to play", call it "Pay for what you want", and honestly I like this business model much better than the pay $60 for game release and then some for DLC.
At least in F2P you get the DLC for free (usually)

Re: Minecraft... in SPACE?!
all those requirements are for me a downside (it's a lot of stuff to install)
but they apparently are working on getting rid of those oddly specific requirements.
In any case, it looks exciting, particularly since Notch hasn't expressed any intent on any sci-fi space stuff for Minecraft.

Re: Don't you love Vista?
Once I updated to the most recent Service Pack, Vista has been running like a charm (with the exception of a few things I consider design flaws).
I really don't get the hate for Vista.

I like futureshift, but I left because there was few people to interact with at the time (and when I lived there, no friendly mobs were spawning there). When I had heard that mobs were spawning again in futureshift, Fyra had recently opened, and that's where everyone was. So now I live in Fyra, alth...

I was gonna pause my music to check it out, but I was playing Shine on You Crazy Diamond I'll check it out soon enough. ... later .... It's pretty good. Nothing groundbreaking, if not a slight lean to the current mainstream pop or indie sound. You can definitely hear they're borrowing that "dance po...

you could always try and open up the skin files in photoshop or paint or something. There's usually numbers in the corner somewhere that'll help. I usually use MSPaint when I'm making Minecraft Pixel Art. Just make sure the image you're working with is the original size.

A good and thoughtful idea in theory, but the problem is, is that Communism has no real system in place against abuse of power. I loved spore up until Civ mode. Didn't like it.
All in all, the individual modes were too short, but it's got a great content editor.
It's kind of how nobody would come running to Minecraft right now because of the world design or combat system.
