Re: Civilians Owning Guns
Well given the existence of this thread I'm guessing there are a decent number of people on the site who share your stance. Personally the idea of civilians owning guns terrifies me. I'm glad I live in a country where it's not the norm. I don't like the idea that any drunken argument, personal grudg...

Re: New Computer
I don't understand the appeal of gaming laptops. They're virtually unusable unless you have them plugged in at a socket, they're expensive, they're noisy, and they heat up like crazy. The only situation I can think of where owning one makes sense is if you travel a lot and have a job that requires t...

Does Asura's Wrath count as an anime? It's certainly closer to one than a game. Zb74QqLfdxw That pretty much sums up my taste in anime: angry dudes (and occasionally androgynous teens) beating up stuff on a ridiculous scale. Plot, characters, setting and narrative are all very much secondary to me, ...

Re: Escapecraft Miners Association
Cave mining is less efficient for finding diamonds. It's great for getting iron/gold/coal/lapis/emeralds/mossy cobble, but anything below layer 10 is automatically flooded with lava. Meaning you only have 6 levels in which exposed diamonds can spawn, and a lot more lava to have to navigate around wh...

Yeah that was something that came up in class. It's not particularly realistic, but with the front section of the plane buried in the ground I needed an alternative to natural light for some areas. I probably should have used the emergency lighting instead, but in the case of that top right image th...

Oh I've been sorely tempted to for a while now. I don't even want the sword, I just have a competitive streak.
It still baffles me that any of you are willing to pay so much for this.

Re: ~Selling a Diamond Enchanted Sword!~
Now you've gone and got me curious, why's this sword worth so much? Yes it's a very nice sword, but with no PvP all you can do with it is kill mobs slightly more efficiently.
Also you mention in the OP that the sword had a previous owner. Is it still at full durability?

Level cap is 80 now? How'd I miss that. Terramorphous is both the easiest and hardest boss I think I've ever fought. Beating him the first time was one of my greatest struggles in gaming. However now that I have some decent gear he goes down in minutes (seconds if I equip the Bee). Vermivorous is th...

Good old blue version, the one I had as a child. Any version will do though, they're basically all the same game. Meet professor [tree], get pokedex, collect 8-16 badges, defeat team [X], fight your rival a bunch, become champion, attempt to "collect 'em all" before they can introduce another new ba...

Pokemon Nuzlocke playthrough
Like any true child of the 90's I grew up loving Pokemon. I've not touched any of the newer games in a while, but still like to dig up the original generation for an occasional nostalgia playthrough. For fun I thought I'd document one, I encourage anyone who wants to do the same. For the uninitiated...

You get an extra 2 usb ports built into that case I believe.

Plus that motherboard comes with 8 (6x usb 2.0, 2x usb 3.0). Should be plenty.

She's probably just trying to get you to be more sociable. Rather than trying to get her to engage with something you enjoy but she clearly doesn't, why not try to find some common activity you can both enjoy. Even if it's just something as small as a TV show you both like and can discuss.

I'd be curious to see a reliable source for that. Wikipedia says the longest documented case of someone staying awake was 12 days, but also lists people who claim they've gone without sleep for decades.
