So after not playing FTL for a while since I had unlocked every ship/layout, I decided to try and get all the achievements on Normal difficulty. Along the way I ended up deciding to push a particular soldier to do his very best.

Cloak is not necessary, but it definitely helps. Defense Drone Mk 2s are also very, very good. If you can manage to kill all but one of the crew, either via fire or boarding, you will also have a much easier time. But be careful about trying to grab everything; you only have 25 power + 1 per Zoltan....

I've beaten the boss on Easy, and I've unlocked tons of ships/layouts. Also still streaming now and then but my poor CPU isn't quite up to snuff.

Apparently I played it for 13 hours yesterday.
