Solake 3.0

I aquired rights to Solake today from Mymanjake and Serubin. Anyone that had a half torn down house lost it, and while Solake has been the brunt of many jokes, its not just the fault of Jake and Serubin, but every resident there that didn't try to help make it a better place. If you lost materials, I'm sorry, but its been in a bad state of disrepair for quite a while.

I left a few buildings that were repaired, and levleed the rest. I still have a lot of work to do, but its at least cleaned up, and doesn't look trashed anymore.

It is cuboided now, so it can't be touched.

Yes, I have ideas... I'm still cleaning it up and re-arranging it. I built a large park in the center area and when I'm done with the city, I'll have a couple of plots open and will likely recruit someone to oversee the city, help improve and police it.

I think its coming along nicely, and if anyone wants to visit it, from Spawn, go north to crossroads, then follow the road to the north east.

I went to see it today, it looks like it has it nice bit of potential, and I really like the park in the middle (with it's resident squids! :D). Leaf blocks would make good hedges too.

One suggestion I'd make is have a grass border around every plot that the owners aren't allowed to remove or build on. They could plant flowers or whatever, and it would break up the palette of greys nicely (and also prevent the clausterphobic crowding that Solake 1.0 suffered from).

Good suggestion, I still have 1 or 2 buildings to move, for that exact reason, and there will only be 1 or 2 plots left afterwards, since I don't want it crowded.

I'm a bit confused about what exactly is and isn't Solake though. There's the part with the park, and a smaller area across a bridge, and there's also that area with the giant "SOLAKE" in torches outside it.

Are they all belonged to the same town?

if i remember right Solake had an "Empire"...

I only took over the original settlement, on the east side of the road, but I'll take a look at the other stuff and see if it needs demolitions too.

if i remember right Solake had an "Empire"...
Solake never had an "Empire"
It was just a Large town.
