Allow me to be the first to start a thread for settlements in the new world! Hopefully, residents of the town will find this thread useful to help co-ordinate projects and communicate with one another.

What is Willowriver?
It's a town, you dummy! More specifically, Willowriver is a small community in the south-western part of the new world whose architecture is based primarily on medieval and Tudor elements. Our residents hope to make the settlement one that will bring players together to meet and trade, and to share a common love of building with one another.

Yo minner, I'm interested in joining. Was hanging out in it earlier and I really like it :) deri told me to just grab somewhere but I haven't yet.

Sure LS!,That sounds great! Most housing is temporary right now until we can work out where everything is going but I'd love to have you on board! I'll add you to the resident list and you can pick out a spot to settle in for now. Deri should be able to give you access to my claim if I can't add you right away.

I've edited the overhead shot to show some ideas I had for our town's development which I'll post below. To all residents who have ideas of their own, the original overhead shot is in the gallery and is labelled for easy locating. I'd love to see what you all have in mind, as this is all our project! Here's an early idea:

Good question! The rail station should probably go in one of the grey coloured areas, ideally as close to the market place as possible, as people coming off the rails will most likely be coming to trade.

I see black already beat me to getting an aerial view of the town.

Also, I edited the farm bulletin on the main thread - When I get time, I'll set up automated farms for you guys (and maybe one or two strip clubs).

Sounds good Deri, I'm house sitting for the next week and a half but I'm planning to bring my computer to the house in the next day or two, so I'll be back online then.

I'm starting to set up on the coast and im going to set up a little fishing hut/docks.

Those screenshots look great LS! Where did you get that texture pack and shaders? I was under the impression that there were no shader mods for 1.7

There's Sonic Ether's for 1.7.2 last I checked

My boat looks pretty darn swank in the distance on that 4th picture.

Thanks minner, texture pack is Sphax BDcraft and the shader is Paolos Lagless Shader.

And inv if you want I could get a pic of your ship without my hut in front of it

Sure! I don't know how well it'd look with all the temporary cobble I have surrounding it, though...
