I am also getting ready to move a massive shipment of supplies and blocks to the new location, but as of now, i am sitting at the wheat generator, generating wheat.

Spiffy.

Dump it by the two chests I have. I think I might make a temp storage center thing with the absurd amount of wood I now currently have.

UPDATE: Everything is done. I even built an excellent storage... tent.... thing. Dump your stuff there.

In the meantime lets through around some design ideas. I have a few of my own but let's here everyone else's first.

Each round lasts a week, uhh look on the Master Build thread for details. As for the set out of the town i was planning on having ALL buildings facing (or at least in view) of the ocean. Due to the size of the land i was going to dig back into the coast and have a long stretch of houses along the ocean (building on the dirt not the sand) and having a wide path run along infront of the houses. At a certain point the path would climb, turn 180 and start a new stretch of houses above and behind the existing 1st stretch. This pattern would continue until it become inconvenient to start a new row of houses. Since we have a LOT of room i dont think we would need to start the second row of houses for a fair while anyway. (was thinking of adding a warf that goes out to sea that acts a bit like a plaza, hosting the CUT restaurant and a library and stuff). Sound good?
Please dont start building this until i sort of set out where things are meant to go :P

I won't do anything just yet.

My idea is to have our public buildings such as the town center, town hall, rule board, and bulliten board on the mainland. I like the idea of the first set of house plots on the coast. As we expand though, I'd say we should make a sort of ocean-y dock theme. Have the streets be docks and everyone build their houses on the ocean.

To summarize: Have the mainland as public/welcome area and have the ocean and coast as the town itself. I think it will also make things a bit interesting for prospective inhabitants.

Were all trying to build a new town in Borjan since they're closing terra and from general boredom.

We got some land and cleared it. Now were trying to work out a design. To get there take the south Borjan rail all the way down then head left at the docks. Find the sandstone wall. But to be honest you haven't missed much, just some of the planning. We could use all the help we can get by the way although there's not much to do there other than move items.

Moved a very big shipment of moderately useless materials and vaguely valuable objects to the construction site, I recommend a change in the passcodes of the chests containing these items.

Alright. We have everything we are ever going to need. Now we need a name and a task.

I know you don't want to start building yet, but if we are going to keep this interesting we should always be working on something. Could you let me at least build a town hall or something like that?

As for a name, Suno was suggested. I like Suno.

Dont touch the wall yet, what do you even mean by 'finish' the wall. PLEASE dont build anything yet until we sought out the design of the town. One thing i have learnt is that building before planning WILL screw up any future planning and can cause buildings to become cramped together, have maze-like streets and can cause the whole layout of the city to be a mess! If you want to build something right now, make it temporary and preferably way up the back away from the ocean. I will try to get on minecraft and have a look, but i havent felt like doing anything lately as my great-grandfather just passed away (he was 97)

@Vol, I wanted to build out in the ocean but Branchscape have an underwater city nearby, so i wanted to stay largely off the water. I dont like the name Suno, sounds to Japanese and boring in my opinion. The name should fit with the design of the city. I reckon we should name it at a later time. For now we can call it "Project tripple empire". Which reminds me, has anyone heard from Draconax about building this town with us?

SAX IS BACK WOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!1!

Also i reckon we should discuss all this town stuff at a new leader meeting soon, would be far easier than chatting through this thread.
