Uh, not really... The new idea would be a lot more serious and structured...
On the other hand, the new idea would have an ending, so perhaps I could do that, then afterwards, come back for Z-Apocalypse 2!

Hmm, lemme rephrase that.
It'd be... more realistic.
That, and the characters would need to follow some specific guides.

OK, I should really get a move on with this. We're at a tie with choices, so the next person to post gets to choose once and for all.
They can either have the whole team escape, the whole team save Eli, or the team can split up.

Re: Z-Apocalypse - M for Coarse Language - More Members Want
The Final Chapter...
As the lone car sped up, converting the peaceful dirt roads into dust, nobody spoke.
They were wanted men.
They were food.
But they weren't giving up. Despite arguments, and the group never being completely sure, they had followed their tradition of not leaving anyone behind, and that included Eli. The Lieutenant had helped them, and they weren't leaving him behind.
Meanwhile, Eli went through the same depressing routine.
"Stay steady..." Eli whispered. Bam.
The door flew open at the touch of his foot, and he led his squad in.
The first zombie flew out, clawing for Eli's face. Eli fought the creature off, but felt his gun ripped from his hand.
The soldier to his right pulled out a pistol, shot a second zombie, and threw the weapon to Eli.
Finally, they were done... but not before Eli saw the remains of a family of four.
"House cleared. Seal it off, clean it up" he said grimly.
The same depressing routine.

Re: Z-Apocalypse - M for Coarse Language - More Members Want
Short post I know, but I want you guys to have a big say in this. So, I'm giving you the option to come up with your own plan.
Your own plan to get Eli out. It can be as detailed or simple as you like.
I just think - these are your characters, you should be able to choose what happens, especially considering they'll be in danger, not me.
If nobody wants to come up with a plan, then I can come up with one, but I want you guys to at least have the choice.

Re: Z-Apocalypse - M for Coarse Language - More Members Want
Well, I should give you some more information.
Basically, Eli's current job (and the current job of many of the soldiers now) is to clear areas of infection. As soon as all zombies are dead, and all bodies burnt, within an area, the area is closed off to the public, and cleaned up of any trace of the infection.
He specifically has a squad of five (himself included).
If you tried to save him while clearing, there'd be the risk of harming or killing his squad members (who he gets along with). There'd also be the risk of being shot on sight by his squad members.
Another possibility would be to try breaking him out while he's on break at one of the complexes. This would be harder to get in, but you could (with some good planning and decision making), pull it off without anyone really noticing. That way, you could save Eli, his squad, and the elderly couple that lived in the apartment next door to him before the outbreak.
Or, you could do something completely different.
Oh, and Bum, you shall see Chef again. Hell, if you want, your character can go off on his own to hunt Chef.

Skunk what kind of weapons, tools, miscellaneous items do we have that we could use to break Eli out?
im thinking several large explosions would make a great distraction

Vall, I'll say for this, you all have one gun each (standard machine gun).
However, if you wanted to do something like that, you can put that in your plan too. Maybe ambush a couple of military vehicles driving on the long, lonely road.
Up to you guys!

Re: Z-Apocalypse - M for Coarse Language - More Members Want
okay i think we should trick a military jeep or something into stopping. we can then hijack it and use it to create a distraction (we are too easily recognisable to try and use it to bluff our way in) then we break Eli out.
sound good to anyone else?

No
Dont forget Chef has completely lost control of his unconscious mind. Chef wants to murder things, he is half zombie, you cant really blame him.
I would also like to point out that in no way was Chef's return OR even death planned by Skunk and I...

Re: Z-Apocalypse - M for Coarse Language - More Members Want
The whole group had a sense of finality about them.
They all knew that their journey, their 'story' was coming to an end. But how?
All they knew, was there was no going back to their normal lonely zombie hunting lives after this. David, Sarge, Chef... They had all made the ultimate sacrifice. Their stories had ended.
Sarge's story ended at the shack.
David's, the same.
And Chef... His story had come to an end. They knew it had. The thing that killed their friends wasn't Chef. It was a monster.
And even the fact that Dennis was dead couldn't cheer them up.
No, they wouldn't have full happiness until their stories had ended. At least, this chapter of their lives.
But how would it end?
Would they die? Would they become flesh eating maniacs? Would they escape to another country?
Could it be true that there were safe countries? Countries where nobody had experienced anything remotely close to what they had?
Maybe.
"There it is..." Vallorn breathed under his breath. They had been zombie hunting, and had found their target. This zombie, this would be their bait. The rest of the group quickly hid in their predetermined positions, ready for the plan.
Finally, Vallorn yelled, and the zombie turned, putting down the body he held. It bared its bloody teeth and took chase after Vallorn.
"FUCK!" Vallorn screamed, running down the road. Up ahead, a military truck drove, transporting something between two bases. Just as planned. "Help me! CHRIST HELP!" he cried.
The truck came to a stop quickly, and a soldier jumped from the passenger seat, firing behind Vallorn.
Vall stopped, relieved, only to be shocked when the soldier shot again. He turned, and found a pack of zombies had followed him after the first one. Seven now lay dead.
The driver got out, a pistol in his hand. "C'mon Trawls, this guy ain't worth our time."
The man that had shot the zombies turned to the driver, "what do you mean? We gotta record his details."
"Here's what I'm thinking," the driver stepped up to Vallorn and raised his pistol.
"Oh shit, no... Sir!"
Adder burst out of hiding, pushing the barrel of his machine gun against the driver's head. Luke came around the other side, pushing his gun into the passenger's neck.
James and Pete quickly searched the two soldiers, grabbing the keys and their guns.
James tossed the keys to Vall, who quickly got into the driver's seat and started the engine. When it came on successfully, James and Pete went around the back to check the contents of the truck.
"Jackpot! Transporting some nice big weapons!" Pete yelled to the rest of the group.
The two piled into the back while Adder and Luke took care of the soldiers.
Adder took the butt of his gun and smacked the driver behind his knees, causing him to fall to the ground.
Luke took the ammo out of the machine gun and handed the passenger the weapon as well as the ammunition. This way, the soldier wouldn't be able to shoot them, but would instead have to load the gun, by which time, the group planned to have left.
And they had.
Leaving the soldiers with one machine gun, and the keys to the military vehicle the group had abandoned a few hundred meters up, the team set off, ready to save Eli.

"Jesus... if this doesn't work," Luke began from the back of the truck.
"If it doesn't work, we die. If we don't attempt it, we die. Let's just try," Vallorn responded.
The truck pulled up to the security checkpoint, and Adder showed the guard a card they'd found in the truck.
"Sir, I'll need more than your truck's verification. Can I see your ID?"
ID? Shit... They hadn't planned on that. "Uh," Adder looked around nervously, "yeah, I just... I just can't find it. Lemme look for a sec. Must have fallen from my pocket."
He began searching the floor desperately. Damn it.
James quickly burst into action. Remembering his ID as a soldier from his six months of training here, he pulled out the small card and slid it under Adder's chair. "Ah, here it is," Adder said, showing the ID to the man.
"Shit, you look fine here. You get into some trouble?"
Adder was confused for a moment, before realising the guard was referring to the bandages and cuts covering his face from the encounter with Chef and Dennis. "Yeah, some little group had been hiding from the zombies this whole time in a forest. We found em, and they refused to come with us. Tried to cut me with some big ass knife."
"Well, I can't really recognise you, to be honest. You going anywhere later today, or will you just be staying in the complex?"
"Nope, done for the day. We'll both be here."
"Alright, gimme your ID, and I'll keep it. I'll call some officials, have them take a look at it, and then have it sent back to you in an hour or so."
Adder handed him the card. "No problem. Thanks"
The gate lifted, and the truck passed through.
"Alright, let's move."
The group got out of the truck, now in a dark basement. "Remember, don't let anyone look at you too much," Adder reminded them. "Our faces are well known, and they could recognise any one of us."
"Lieutenant?"
Eli turned at the call, to see a plump guard calling from one of the security gates.
"Lieutenant, could you come here for a moment?"
"What is it?"
"I've got an ID card. Couldn't recognise the guy's face behind the bandages. I let him through, so should I just check with some officials?"
"Uh, yeah. Call them up, ask them if they can send some people down," Eli responded, eyeing the card. "Hey, can I see that for a second?"
Eli lifted the card, a face pushing into his memories. It was one of the guys that had run... One of Sarge's friends. They had come back for him!
"Soldier, have you already made the call?"
"Yeah," the guard put the phone down. "Just did, why?"
Eli
a) Tell him to cancel the examination of the card. Give him a reason (state the reason)
b) Don't tell him to cancel it. Instead, go try and find the group.
