Off topic introductory ramble:

Okay it seems my ambition got a little ahead of me when planning this. Non linier stories, complex strategy, and massive sprawling battles are all much easier said than done. I've just not had the time or motivation to get it all to the level I'd have liked to.

That said I have made significant additions and improvements over the past month & the feedback I got back from the test run was fairly positive. I feel have enough now to begin a proper campaign, even if it is shorter and less ambitious than I'd originally planned.

We begin where any good RPG should, with character selection and customisation.
If you are interested in taking part please state which avatar you would like to play, assign them up to 40 skill points in the categories listed (15 max per category), and select 4 feats from the class trees at the bottom. Your characters begin at level 3, so you may only select feats that are on or below the 3rd row on the chart.

If you like, but it won't have any effect on gameplay.
I never wrote a proper story either, so if you want to come up with backstories and/or Character interactions between missions feel free.

Quite funny when you think about how I picked the defensive spells (someone's gotta protect the group against Vallorn's invetible derp involving lava or fire)

2x Orc Spearmen
1x Orc Warlock
1x Orc Chieftain

Terrain:
Rocky ground (0 move penalty)
Mossy ground (0 move penalty)
Rocky outcrops (Impassable. Do not count as cover*, but can be used to block line of sight)
Water (Slows ALL units to 1 square per turn, unless using the teleport or flight abilities. Units in water are immune to fire damage)
Trees/shrubs (-1 move penalty, can be used as cover*)
Cliff face (Impassable)

i shall cast Ice Rain centered in the middle of the archers on the left.
i shall then move 2 blocks to the left to take cover behind Taint

Beard i think Rock Shield might be handy to bottleneck em at the start/provide cover from thier mage.

I hadn't actually thought of that. With the increased movement speed the rogue could kite enemies forever :?
Let's say -1 move penalty per feat. Also movements come before feats.

Ok, I think for the moment I will get beside Dark's character, just slightly behind him and to the right.

In that case I move 3 paces to the right, and cast rock shield 4 paces infront and 2 right to protect most of the group from the orc warlock.

I think I will use my feat "Fire Arrow" and shoot the 3 blocks ahead and to the right (Orc with the spear)
