Learning to mod

I've had a few idea's about mods for ssp and because no modder really looks at the suggestions part of the minecraft forums, I've decided to try and make them myself.

I was wondering if anyone had any form of modding experience and could help me as this is the first time i've actually tried it.

If all goes well i will try and make some helpful bukkit plugins for the server (although that apparently a little different to normal singleplayer modding :? )

I have made some mods. You know alias? I made that mod. Also some server plugins =3 if you need help I'll be glad to give. I run a very very small company for computers and other things related to such. So just give me a shout if you still want help.
