Mafia II, L.A Noire
Mafia II, L.A Noire
Dammit. I have to retype this all :C
Mafia II
Mafia II is a great game; it's based in the 1940s America, like L.A Noire. I've been playing it for a mere few days, but so far it's awesome - I love the driving mechanics, and the third person atmosphere. So far, I've enjoyed the storyline. To start with, you go to the war where Vito was - then, you end up back with your friend Joe and he gets you out of the war. You then need money; at which point you meet Joes friends, and they give you job. Your mother wants you to get a job where your father worked before he dies, so you have to go there. I really suggest after you get a car pressing L to turn the limiter on, so you don't get the cops on you every 20 seconds. Overall I give this 8.5/10.
L.A Noire
L.A Noire is the opposite of Mafia II - in this you try to catch the gangs while you move through the desks in the department, it's a great game. The one thing I don't like is the interviewing, it's so long, difficult and boring. I don't quite see the point in it to be honest. The missions get more difficult throughout the game, as they usually do, but they get REALLY difficult. Finally, I give this game 8/10.

MAfiaII was the best campaign i have ever played (tied with Red Dead Redemption)! well worth the money, but was disapointed with the lack of things to do apart from the campaign!
Re: Mafia II, L.A Noire
Yeah - the campaign can get boring doing mission after mission. I have to agree though, well worth the £5 that I paid for it
Re: Mafia II, L.A Noire
I'd put Mafia II, Red Dead, and LA Noire all at the top of my list campaign-wise with Red Dead coming in first (almost cried twice, bite me). I recall LA Noire getting a poor score because of how repetitive it was, but I personally loved it.
Anyway, yeah, both are great.

I played Red Dead again last night (I traded in most of my games for Skyrim, but kept my favorites) and remembered why I love it so much other than the storyline. It's really a great game.

I thought the ending of Mafia II is a bit sudden though, you get taken away in a car...
