Don't you love Vista?

Post by Spyboticsguy » 20 Sep 2011, 15:13

Is there any way to improve performance in TF2 without removing Vista's eye candy, or making TF2 look like crap?
I'm trying Game Booster now. Maybe it'll help.

I wouldn't know. I use Windows 7 and it runs perfectly on max settings, and I don't have that great of a PC. Maybe you should upgrade to 7?

Idk, Vista just seems to run everything more slowly than 7.

Once I updated to the most recent Service Pack, Vista has been running like a charm (with the exception of a few things I consider design flaws).

I really don't get the hate for Vista.

It's because people don't understand that it's not really all the OS's fault. Vista had a rocky start, but it turned out to be a rather solid OS.

Sure, 7 is better than Vista, but Vista ended up being much better than XP later on.

The things I don't like about Vista are mostly just the organization of it. I prefer how XP was organized, seemed much more straight forward to me.

I had vista for a long time, never had problems once i got used to it.

Anyway, just turn vista's areo (the see through bars) theme off when you are playing. It will help a lot.
