Had a quick look and couldn't find a thread, feel free to beat me with a stick if I missed it.

Simply curious if anyone else plays it. If you do want to play it and can't seem to get a key then look here http://www.reddit.com/r/sharedota2/

Heck if someone does have spare keys, why not post that you do?

The main reason I was wondering if people play it was to see if we could make an escapecraft team.

If you do have it, what's your preferred hero/hero type/ play style?

I pretty much just play Troll Warlord. Simply because eventually you can solo Roshan

I have Dota 2, played it with friends for a little bit when i first got it, hated the game type and haven't touched it since. I've never bothered to learn how to give games away on steam, so whoever can tell me how to give it to them, well it's yours.

If you've already played it, you can't give it away. The game type is a bit different to other games but it changes vastly depending on what hero you are.

Take Pudge for example

He is a melee fighter with an ability called meathook. This ability does as follows:

Dota2 wiki wrote:Launches a bloody hook at a unit or location. The hook will snag the first unit it encounters, dragging the unit back to Pudge and dealing damage if it is an enemy.

Now, because of this ability, he has the potential to go into the Jungle and run parallel to the lanes. If he then sees an enemy hero, he can use the ability to pull them through the trees separating the lane and the jungle and attack them one on one. Because of his strength, he can take on most heroes of equal level at close range. Obviously there are some exceptions (My beloved troll warlord if I've carried him right) but this is an incredibly good tactic as it allows him to tear away a hero from the lane, stopping possible damage from creeps and stopping any assistance from other heroes

(add 'meatroid' on steam, my dp is the same as i use on the forums, classic thief from the early FF games)
