Did you all notice how the sun 'ticked' along? Remind yourself that Celestia controls the sun, and knew that TS had not sent the letter yet, having not gotten it.

At this point in time, there is a highly addictive substance being trafficked throughout the net. This substance was introduced to the public in the fall of 2010, but has since spiraled out of control. Its users now total some 50 million, although an exact number is nigh impossible to obtain due to the large number of unknown users. The substance, as well age and nature of its users, who range from age 8 to 30, sparked a huge controversy across the internet in almost every congregation of internet users it touched, including 4chan and other major internet forums. Some of you may already know of the substance of which I am referring by virtue of these sites.
I was recently introduced to this substance at the end of the last six weeks, while browsing the web for something to take my mind off school. I had heard of this substance before on a forum that I frequent, so I decided to check it out. I clicked the link, and thus started my interest in this substance. Among its users, this substance is known as MLP;FiM, but it is more commonly known, as My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic.
But let’s leave me to watch episode 1, and return to the controversy I mentioned earlier that sparked my interest in the show. This controversy over the age and nature of viewers is not directed at its 8 year old viewers, but rather those that make up the majority of the show’s online advocates. These viewers are adults. These viewers are male! These viewers are collectively known as “bronies”, with an average age range of 15-30. Now you’re probably wondering… Why? Why are these grown men proudly announcing their love of a show originally aimed at 8 year old girls? And no, it’s not because they are gay.
To answer this question, I would recommend watching the show yourself, but I will attempt an explanation. The show itself is about the studious Twilight Sparkle learning lessons about friendship with her friends, the athletic Rainbow dash, dedicated and honest Applejack, drama queen Rarity, shy Fluttershy, and over-enthusiastic Pinkie Pie. However, ignoring this shell of girly names, the show contains highbrow humor, plot, and likeable characters, resulting in a reaction such as the following:
“Well this is the about the gayest thing I’ve ever see- HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME!
Which was posted under an episode by an anonymous YouTube user.
The large online communities of bronies have welcomed new comrades with open arms, and there are possibly more pony-fied parodies on the internet at the moment than any other type of parody. However, these reasons aside, the show takes you away from a world filled with hard truths, famine, and war to a place where happiness and laughter reign. It makes you smile and it makes you laugh. Everyone needs a bit of sunshine in their lives, and for many internet users, this may be it. Even though this show does not appeal to everyone, just give it a shot, so that someday I may be able to ask you:
“What’s your opinion on My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic?”

Oh that was a fantastic episode.
