I see a few issues with this, although comical value is still high. ( lalala grief grief grief BOOM ).

1st, it can be used for griefing by itself, just pretty up an area with tress and tntree them. then wait.

2nd, logs of grief incidents allow the mod to perform a rollback on said grief, so they get banned and they dont damage your area in the end.

3rd, without a valid landclaim, and therefor if anyone destroyed anything they would be a griefer, placing said tntrees would be open to all kinds of abuse.

4th. we had a system like this called the VCLB (Very clearly labled bantrap) it was removed after is started becoming a player sport to encourage people to hit it and subsequently started getting more bans than almost anything else.

(I used to run laps around it when i was a Vet to tease the Mod Team :D )

So it would kill the person who tries to get the TNT?

Also, shouldn't this go under suggestions?

If you think this should be in suggestions then you missed the point of the thread by a thousand miles.

The answer is no. Beginner traps are history and something that is "staff made" that kills players will not fly with what we here in escapecraft represent which is a safe, professional, and fair enviorment for our community and it's guest. Griefer or not.
You cannot say it doesn't exist if you haven't seen it. ~Zinrius
