Save it for something useful like a car when you can drive, or college.
You'll thank me later.

You're wasting over 1200 dollars on something you can't actually make use of without a trip to jail?
You could buy a lot of other (more useful/enjoyable) stuff with that.

It's not uncommon for younger teenagers to handle guns here in the US.Darktaint wrote:Still a kid. Why are you parents even allowing you to own a gun?michaeld20 wrote:I am 16 -____-Darktaint wrote:Lol kids and guns

When a 16 year old can unironicly claim to be an "experienced gunman" that is a frightening thought.michaeld20 wrote:It is when your working with youngens @ boy scout camp too.. But im a experience gunman so...Darktaint wrote:Jesus that's a frightening thought ._.SneakyPie wrote:

Yeah, I'm in the boat that unless you have been privately trained and certified, or trained by the military, you're not an experienced gunman.
It's one thing to have shot guns a few times, it's a whole other thing to actually be trained.
For example, I've been shooting guns since I was like 14 under strict supervision. When I was getting training for a Conceal and Carry permit (by a former SpecOp no less) I was surprised at just how much I was doing wrong. Sure I could put a bullet into a target, but ever since correcting myself from what I was taught, it makes a huge difference.

Re: What should I buy next?
The only gun I can recommend is a handgun, so you won't be able to purchase one for a few more years. (Then again, all the rifles I've ever fired aren't the best in the world. I've been going to the range firing mostly the same handgun for the past 7 years or so with my dad, so my opinion on the matter is a bit limited)
Although from my perspective, You really shouldn't be buying multiple guns until you have a reliable steady source of income. Hell, I still technically don't own one myself. The rifle I learned to fire with technically mine, but was sold at my choice a while back. I never really got into hunting, and as far as just shooting at the range, I always preferred handguns to long guns.

Re: What should I buy next?
Get a rifle.
With a rifle, you need to turn your whole body to shoot someone. With a handgun, you can take a life with the flick of your wrist.
Maybe a .22? Although, you probably should just save the money.

I think you need to provide more details on what these expeditions involve. Plinking calls for a different weapon than deer hunting, and target shooting depends on the class you plan on competing in.
